This cake is a show stopper! The outside part of the cake gets a little crunch to it, while the inside is soft and decadent, and the top is gooey and jammy. OMG!
While I am always looking for great ways to use the figs from my prolific trees, I plan to use this recipe with other fruits, maybe oranges, strawberries, or cherries... depending on the season.
And, the recipe was easy to follow. It's nice to bake something for the first time and feel confident I did it correctly.

Delicious! Everyone loved it, even the fig skeptics! The cake was like a molten chocolate cake in texture. I used six small figs. Fabulous.
